Blech, Eww, Yuck

I couldn’t remember how I got here; my mind racing to recall the suppressed details. What was at stake? Did I have to go on or should I just give up now. My intestines knotted from the smell. Curse you Joe Rogen.

  1. Don't know who Joe Rogen is, but that pizza looks well past its best-by date. Reality show? You win the gross-out factor, hands down.

    1. Joe Rogen was the host of Fear Factor. It was a game show that had people do some crazy things including eating some really gross stuff. The picture is "Fear Factor Pizza." After reading the description of it, the meal worms are the most appetizing part.

    1. I hardly watched to either. I could never believe the things people would agree to do for the chance to win some money.

  5. I never watched the show, but I just looked up that pizza and watched a clip. I had to cover the screen with my hand through most of it. Why, people, why? Make it stop.

Anyway, I really liked what you did in the beginning of your piece, and I thought it had a dreamlike quality. I also could identify with getting myself into unpleasant situations and questioning what the heck I had gotten myself into.

    1. Thank you, Marcy. I couldn't watch the whole clip either.

  6. It looks to me like if you wait long enough most of the toppings will crawl away. You need to let your pizza age a bit, that's all.

  7. So the answer to the Question is No. Definitely, No. I love the racing thoughts, the "What was at stake?"

  10. Fear Factor! I think I only saw one segment of one episode, but it haunts me to this day: an aquarium filled with cockroaches.

  11. You definitely answered the question for me, anyway. :) Thanks for that creepy little image that will haunt me all day long. Think I'll have a salad for lunch...
